OVERVIEW
Huizhou is a city in the Guandong province with a rich historical and cultural heritage, coupled with modern advancements and economic potential. It is strategically located in the eastern part of the GBA, making it an attractive destination for international business ventures and cultural exploration.
Known as the "City of the Goose" due to a legend about an immortal transforming into Flying Goose Mountain, Huizhou is a key city in Guangdong province and part of the Greater Bay Area. Renowned for its abundant natural resources, it boasts high air quality, diverse mineral deposits (iron, coal, tungsten), thriving agriculture (lychees, sugarcane), and 840 aquatic species. The city prioritizes modern infrastructure, advancing seaports, airports, and high-speed rail networks to strengthen connectivity. Economically, Huizhou’s financial sector shows robust growth, with significant loans directed to advanced manufacturing (9.8% increase), infrastructure, green development, and innovation. Inclusive finance initiatives also support small and medium-sized enterprises, underpinning the city’s high-quality economic development.
