Glenn has been the British Honorary Consul, Macao, for over 7 years. He holds a doctorate degree in tourism management (School of Management, University of Surrey) and is Assistant Professor in Gaming & Hospitality Management at the University of Macau. With research interests in casino tourism and event tourism, Glenn has been a consultant for The Venetian, Macao, MGM Grand Macao, StarWorld Casino, Macao, and Galaxy Casino, Cotai. He has also worked with the Macao Government for several years on casino and event tourism issues and having over 40 internationally published articles in journals and conferences on tourism development is one of the most cited academics in Macao on tourism planning and management. He regularly writes and is interviewed by the media on tourism development, and in 2010 he published the graduate textbook ‘Event Management: An Asian Perspective’ with McGraw-Hill.  He is currently writing an Asian tourism management graduate textbook, again with McGraw-Hill to be published in 2011. Glenn co-hosts the weekend English language talkshow on Macao’s national television, TDM (Teledifusão de Macau),  is the owner of The Irish Bar, Macao (www.irishbarmacau.com ) which he opened in 1998 after arriving in Macao, and Managing Partner of Insights Unlimited a tourism consultancy company.
